North Memorial Health and SafeKids NW Metro Minneapolis are offering child car seat checkup events. Nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will teach you how to correctly install and use your child’s car seat or booster seat.
There is no charge for car seat checkup events. Donations accepted. Appointments are required.

In partnership with public safety agencies, Regions Hospital is offering car seat and booster seat safety clinics. SafeKids certified car seat technicians will teach you how to properly install your car seat/booster seat and teach you how to properly harness your child into the seat. There is no charge for this clinic. Appointments are required.

Did you know that about 60% of car seats are used incorrectly and that misuse may lead to injury or death in a crash? Not only are car seats and boosters misused, but many children ages 4-9 are not riding in one at all. To assist parents and caregivers with their car seat needs, Safe Kids Grand Forks conducts routine checkup events in Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, and surrounding communities.

Child Safety Seat check up events are for parents and caregivers to have their child safety seat inspected by a certified child passenger technician. The child passenger safety technician will inspect and assist parents and caregivers in installing their child safety seat. This is a free service.

St. Cloud Area Child Passenger Safety Collaborative
Appointments are required and are scheduled for 30 minutes per car seat in each vehicle. To schedule an appointment, please call 320-251-7393. If you reach voicemail, leave your name, phone number, and the number of car seats you need checked, and someone will call you back to schedule your appointment.
Seat checks are available for all stages, from infant seats to booster seats. Prior to your appointment, please install your car seat at home, referring to both the car seat and vehicle manuals. Please note that this is not a distribution site, so you must bring your own car seat.
